The Justice League of America is an organization of superheroes residing on Megacrossover Earth that was founded as a replacement for the Justice Society of America. Unlike the preceding Justice Society of America, it does not operate under the U.S. government, but is an independent law enforcement group that makes money through donations. It specializes in threats to American citizens that mundane agencies would be unable to deal with.

The Justice League was first formed after several costumed heroes succeeded in fighting back the White Martian invasion in 1960. Founding members include Clark Kent (Superman), Batman (Batman), Wonder Woman (Hippolyta Trevor), the Flash (Barry Allen), the Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Aquaman (Arthur Curry), and the Martian Manhunter (J’onn J’onnz).
