Nylarlathotep is an offspring of Yog-Sothoth and the self-proclaimed Outer God of Chaos. He dwells on the world of Yuggoth near the center of the multiverse where he acts as Azathoth's messenger. Those who worship Nyarlathotep claim that he is the most powerful being in the multiverse after Eru and Azathoth.
Nyarlathotep is known to have taken an interest in sapients outside his realm and will sometimes appear among them to sow chaos. On Earth, he usually assumes the form of a human, although many who've encountered him have sensed that he was not what he appeared to be. Despite the destruction he has caused, Nyarlathotep has managed to gain many followers throughout the multiverse. Both the Elder Council and the Archdevils believe him to be a highly dangerous being.
